He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Patterson and Mozelle Harris Patterson; his sisters, Betty Bellinghausen and Jerry Honeycutt; his daughter Donna Adams; and his grandson Justin Lester.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Wirz; his children, Bobbie Lester (Bill), Debbie Welborn (Jamie), Derrell Patterson (Sandy) and Judy Patterson (Chris); his son-in-law Jim Adams; and his siblings, Peggy Moore (John), Nancy Reynolds (Gerald), Mary Bell and Charles Patterson (Glynda). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a very large extended family.
