He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leeland Schoonover, and Opal Neely Schoonover, Sr.; his wife Edith Schoonover of Seymour; his sons, Brian (Michelle Schoonover) of Seymour and Mike (Kari Schoonover) of Seymour; his stepchildren, Mark of Greenville, Rebecca Davis of Greenville and Michelle Watkins of Greenville; and his brother Freddy Karr of Houston. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
