He was predeceased by: his parents, Banty Frank and Alice Ruth Crawford (Moore); his sisters, Frankie June Crawford Guynes and Edythe Ann Crawford Adkins; his daughters, Debra Lynn and Kimberly Ann; his brother Gerald; and his parents-in-law, Arvil Richard Weckar and Frances Irene Weckar.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, James "Jimbo" William Crawford, Jr. and Jerry Ann; his wife Jerry Ann; his children, Tammy Jo Crawford Billingsley and James Crawford, Jr. (Miranda); his grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Davila (Chris), Krista Renee Reed, Joshua William Crawford and Luke William Crawford; his brother Jack Crawford; his great grandchildren, Johnathon, Benjamin, Elijah, Zoey, Nathaniel and Nikolai; his stepgreat-grandsons, Wyatt, Colt and Sawyer Davila; and also, Gerald Glen Crawford and Jack Marlin Crawford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and family and friends.
