He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Daniel and Lula Goodner Daniel; his wife Anne Hobbs; his daughter Susan Young; his son-in-law Britt Hagerman; his daughters, Staci (Terry Link), Sandy Hagerman (Shannon) of Seymour and K. C. Green of Throckmorton; and his sister Caroline Lancaster of Matador. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
