She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Akin and Hazel Akin; her siblings, Foster Akin, Benny Akin, Judy Akin and Cindy Lile; and her son Byron Don Arnold.

She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Faye, Audre, Clyde and Dennis; and her granddaughter Heather Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of food or funds be made to a local food pantry.
