He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Dowdle; his grandparents, George, Ola Dowdle, Sam and Grace Futrell; his daughter Cynthia McConnell; and his brother-in-law Dean Douglas.
He is survived by: his father Sammy A. Dowdle; his children, Samantha Gallup (Zachery), Angela Dowdle and Jonathan McConnell (Renee); his grandchildren, Zachery Gallup Jr., Amanda Maris, Jordyn Schurz, Brianna McConnell and Christopher McConnell; his siblings, Belinda Douglas and David Dowdle; and his close friend Rhonda Guess. He is also survived by many other nieces nephews, friends.
