He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Shannon and Myrtle Hooks Shannon (Delories Umlang Shannon); his brother Bob Shannon; and his granddaughter Jessica Plagens. He is survived by: his spouse Delories Umlang Shannon; his children, Angela Shannon (Tony) of Houston, Michelle Shannon (Kelly) of Corsicana, Christopher Shannon of Tyler, Sandra Plagens of Spring, Linda Greszler (Dave) of Mansfield, Kenneth Umlang of Mesa, Brenda Murphy (Brian) of Mabank Texas and David Umlang (Karen) of San Antonio; and his siblings, Ronnie Shannon (Mary) and Diana Shannon of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews and other relatives.
