He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Cordia (Miller) and Mason Lee Benton, Sr.; his wife Dianna; and his grandchildren, Kiaera Trout and Hagen Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his children, Shane Benton (Jeanette) of Seminole, Kip Lee Benton of Amarillo, Texas, Missy Trout of Brush and Jordan Coffman (Nick) of Fort Worth, Texas; and his sisters, Jan Clement (Maurice) of San Angelo, Nyoka McGee (Jerrylynn) of Odessa and Tammy Bell (Carl) of Pittsburg, Texas. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
