As we bid Johnny farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Johnny is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramona Martinez (Galicia) and Antonio Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Nelda Ortega of Seminole; his children, Johnny Joe Martinez of Seminole, Rebecca Cardona (Miguel) of Seminole, Jessica Martinez of Seminole and Bianca Martinez (Jose) of Seminole; and his siblings, Antonio Martinez, Jr. (Mary) of San Marcos, Ricardo Martinez (Sylvia) of Lockhart, Lupe Ortega (Joe) of Midland, Sylvia Gutierrez (Alfredo) of Pflugerville and Josie Perez of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
