She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeannettie Clara (Stone) and Charles William Jones; her former husband LeRoy S. Rich; and her husband Frank "Corkey" Scheer. She is survived by: her children, Frank Rich (Dixie) of Parker, Jeannine Rich of North Augusta and Jeannette Lambert of Seminole, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Hazel was instrumental in establishing the first EMS service in Silverton, Colorado and federally certified as an Alzheimer aide.
