He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Silas and Sarah Ann Hammons; and his children, Virginia (Blaine Paul), Joel (LaNora Hammons) and Mark Hammons (Sherry Farley). He was also cherished by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
