It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Mae (Wahl) Bierstedt of Seguin, Texas, born in New Braunfels, Texas, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Wahl Bruemmer (Reiley) and George Wahl; her parents-in-law, Alfred and Mary Bierstedt; her stepfather Roland Bruemmer; her sister-in-law Norma Wahl; and her nephew Ray Wahl Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Al O'Brien Bierstedt; her daughter Kathy Hewell (Al); her grandchildren, Valerie Hewell (Jared) and Brien Hewell (Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Laura Hewell and Blake Lundgren; her brother Ray Wahl Sr.; her niece DeAnna Wahl (family: Monica Wahl); and her nephew Brad Wahl (Bebbi). She is also survived by cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
