She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Courtney (Meece) and Jasper William Courtney; and her siblings, Chyde, James, Dawson Courtney and Frances Courtney Mosher.
She is survived by: her children, Dana Eckols Riley (Robert James Riley) of Wharton, Maidlen Eckols Smoot (Bobby Joe Smoot) of Splendora, Deborah Eckols of Seguin, Texas and Wiley Eugene Eckols, Jr. (Yturria Eckols) of Seguin; her grandchildren, Shannon Riley Winn (Brian Winn), Kristen Riley Frazier (John DeVilbiss), Bobby Joe Smoot, Jr. (Amanda), Kelly Smoot, Christopher Wade Smoot (Bethany), Wiley Eugene Eckols III (Trisha) and Sarah Jo Eckols Scholtz; and her great grandchildren, Abby, Dawson Rollwitz, Kynlie Riley, Maddie Frazier, Garrett, Gracie Eckols, Avery and Olivia Smoot. She is also survived by many other friends and loving family members.
