He is survived by: his children, Michael Mattke (Debra) and Michele Cmerek (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Whitney Heimann (Joshua), Lindsey Daniell (Derek), Trevor Mattke (Danielle) and Amy Anderson; his great grandchildren, Bethany, Brylee Heimann, Kyla, Cash Daniell, Noah, Easton Mattke, Brock, Bryson Anderson, Kyzer and Kalum Pena; and his sisters, Mildred Meyer and Marilyn McKee.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tres Hewell Mortuary (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A burial was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the San Geronimo Cemetery (1620 E Walnut St, Seguin, TX 78155). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek (3305 Church Rd, Seguin, TX 78155).
