He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Eva Pesson Weldon; his wife Fonda Mathis; his son Kyle Mathis (Persia); his brother Chad Mathis (Amber); his nieces and nephews, Brandon Mathis (Liza), Michelle Smith, John Vincent (Robin) and Jenna Marie Vincent; his father-in-law James J. Smith; and his sister-in-law Donna Beck.
