He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgie Lee (Rainey) and Ira Brooks, Sr.; and his brothers, Sylvester Brooks and Floyd Robert Richardson. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Jenkins Brooks; his stepdaughter La Rhonda Dillard; his stepgrandchildren, Saraiah Fennell and Josiah Dillard; his siblings, Herbert L. Brooks (Debbie), Vencent R. Brooks and Audrey Guilbeau-Calhoun (Bruce); and his nieces and nephews, Daryl Richardson, Jeffery L. Brooks, Christopher R. Brooks, Adrian O. Guilbeau, Kyle R. Brooks, Lynda P. Richardson, Sylvia Richardson, Virginia Richardson, Lisa Richardson, Venessa Goodin and Rebekkah Albert. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
