She was predeceased by: her parents, Anita Belmarez (Rojas) and Julian Belmarez; her grandson Refugio Sosa, III; and her siblings, Rosa Torres, Geronima Belmarez, Steve Velasquez and Julio Velasquez.
She is survived by: her children, Erlinda Sosa (Ray), Jesse Montanez, Jr. (Cynthia), Johnny Montanez, Sr. (Sarah) and James Montanez (Jeanette); and her sisters, Mary Medina and Gloria Moreno. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
