She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Junker and Margaret Junker (Jandt); her husband Mike Hastings; and her brothers, Delvin and Kirby.

She is survived by: her son John Karl Hastings; her grandchildren, Tishun Hastings, John Karl Hastings Jr. and Brayelen Hastings; and her sisters, Pat Hall of Friendswood, Gloria Roach of Seguin and Karen (Marvin Massey). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
