She was predeceased by: her parents, Rella Preuss (Cheatham) and Marvin Preuss; her husband Adlai Schmidt; her daughter Nancy Goodwin; and her brothers, Marvin, Eugene and Glenn Preuss.
She is survived by: her son Mike Schmidt (Doreen); her grandchildren, Michael Schmidt, Jr. (Angie) and Melissa Elizabeth Locklear (Jake); her great grandchildren, Cole, Tate, Reid Schmidt, Maddie, Maren and Michael Doak Locklear; her siblings, Florence McQuaig (Marshall) and Billy Preuss (Mary Lou); and her sisters-in-law, Valda Preuss and Isabel Preuss. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
