He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophia Sassenhagen (Vidaurri) and Juan Sassenhagen. He is survived by: his wife Rosalinda Flores Sassenhagen (Rose); his daughters, Jennifer Sassenhagen (Jason Riddle), Adele Householder and Danielle Sassenhagen-LeBlanc (Justin LeBlanc); his siblings, Johnny Sassenhagen, Josie Weidner, Stella Cerda (Raymond), Florence De Los Santos (David), Frances Ramirez (Leo) and Ricky Sassenhagen; and his grandchildren, Kayla Jennae Vollmar, Cameron Vollmar, Dylan Vollmar, Teddy Arriola, Jr., Anthony Menchaca, Karrigan Vollmar, Ebonie Arriola, Kaelin Earl, Kalia LeBlanc, Marcos Householder, Anastasia Householder and Abraham Householder. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (409 W Krezdorn St, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
