He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hilz; his son Brian Hilz (Stacey) of Seguin; his grandchildren, Lauren Hilz (Samantha) of Houston, Haley, Randall Montgomery of Seguin and Dakota Zies of Seguin; and his great grandchildren, Brooks, Memphis Montgomery of Seguin and Douglas Zies (Wyatt) of Seguin.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Tres Hewell Mortaury Chapel (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Jacob Christian Seiler Cemetery (128 River Rd, Schertz, TX 78154).
