She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Bruss and Rita Bruss of Swansea, IL.. She is survived by: her siblings, Bob and Bonnie; her husband John; her children, Dr. Krysten Bailey (John) of Seguin, TX, Monyca Uecker (Chris) of Maumee, OH and Bruce Byrne (Sunny) of Cibolo, TX; her grandchildren, Patrick Byrne (Esveiri), Dustin Byrne (Lucia), Kelsey Byrne, Luke Uecker, Allison Uecker, William Uecker, Ronan Byrne and Maeve Byrne; and her great grandchildren, Westyn Byrne-Haselhoff and Remington Byrne-Haselhoff.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the diabetes awareness organization Let me be 83 (letmebe83.org).
