She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Juan Garza and Maria Salinas; her husband Alberto O. Cortez Sr.; her grandsons, Joshua Cortez and Conrad Cortez; and her children, Albertico Cortez (Rose), Rosalinda Aparicio (Ricky), Alvaro Cortez (Nora), Albert Cortez Jr., Adrian Cortez Jr. and Rosie Lopez (Rene). She was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, & friends.
