He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Kolterman and Gracie W. Kolterman (Sally A. Grawunder); and his sister Nancy Kolterman Jones of Harlingen, Texas.. He is survived by: his brother Thomas Van Kolterman (Nell) of San Antonio; his children, Robert Canterbury (Kim), Virginia Grissom (Israel) and David Canterbury; his grandchildren, Travis Cadd, David Canterbury, Samantha Montgomery, Courtney Ashby (Mark), Lacey Wells (Ben), Morgan Canterbury and Brittany Canterbury; and his nieces, Kim Scamardo (Pete), Karen Winkle (Jim) and Darla Jones. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at Lyford Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 10:00 a. m. for family and close friends due to the COVID-19 restrictions for public gatherings.
