He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zapalac and Rosa Zapalac; and his siblings, Adolph, Elizabeth and Cecelia.
He is survived by: his wife Edi Zapalac; his sister Georgia Gavranovic; his children, Yvonne Zapalac and Danny Zapalac (Susan); his granddaughters, Tracie (Eckelberg), Amy (Haikenwaelder) and Katie (Baird); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emma, Emersyn, Abigail, Stephen, Joseph, Cheyenne, Logan, Landen and Hayley; and his great great grandchildren, Weston and Garrett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy.
