He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Ashorn and Annie Ashorn; his brother Leroy Ashorn, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Patsy Ashorn. He is survived by: his wife Margie Holtkamp; his children, Matthew Ashorn, Bethany Roberts (Matt) and Chase Ashorn (Sherri); his brother Terry Ashorn; and his grandchildren, Kaden, Brenna, Grayson Roberts Caleb, Abigail and Easton Ashorn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LifeBridge Community Church (2161 FM 2187 Rd, Sealy, TX 77474). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the Sealy Cemetery (768 4th St, Sealy, TX 77474).
