He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Golson and Gene Golson; his wife Sarah Golson; and his grandson Jay Burger. He is survived by: his son Stephen Golson (Becky); his grandsons, Grant and Trent; his great grandchild Mark Golson (Kelly Jo); and also, Luke and Sophie.
