She was predeceased by: her fathers, Clifford Minter (Bull) and Gerald Barras Sr. (Jerry); her brother Carl; her sister-in-law Sylvia Minter; her sister Francis; and her siblings-in-law, Byron Hawthorne (Boots) and Verleene Minter.
She is survived by: her siblings, James Minter (Jim), Catherine (Cathy) and Ellender Arceneaux (Len); and her children, Paul (Pam Highfill), Brenda Mata, Linda Barras and Gerald (Kim Barras). She is also survived by Grandchildren, thirteen (13) great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
