It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Grimes of Sealy, Texas, born in Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on July 26, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Evada Grimes and Veda B. Bass; his wife Joy Faye Grimes (Helms); his granddaughter Tiffany Ann Knight; and his siblings, James Grimes, Edward Grimes and Marie Grimes Westermari.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Burtt of Trinity, TX and Sabrina; his son-in-law Josh Romo of Trinity, TX; his sons, Timothy Grimes and Jimmy Grimes Jr. of Conroe, TX; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law C. B. Gray of Lufkin, TX; his sister Jean; his brother-in-law Gary Fults of Sealy, TX; his grandchildren, Savanna Balerio, Laura Latz, Lindashay Jones, Desarae Nichole Balerio, Samantha Crockett, Jonathan Grimes, Isabella Grimes, Rashannie Grimes, Nautica Grimes, Tyler Romo and Mason Romo; and his great grandchildren, Karis, Cameron, Brianna, Dominic, Whitley, Brendan, Miya, Grace, Aviary, Nathan, Hayden, Zoey and Kylie. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
