With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Dean Scherbig Sr. of Sealy, Texas, born in Cat Spring, Texas, who passed away on January 20, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. W. Scherbig and Marguerite Scherbig (Jeschke); his grandmothers, Louise Scherbig Karasek and Lillie Jeschke; and his uncle Roy Karasek.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Vicky Page (David), Gary Scherbig, Jr. (Valinda) and Monte Shane Scherbig (Gloria); his sister Lynn Ehler (Alton); his granddaughter Mandi Scherbig Hurta; and his stepdaughters, Sherri, Laura, Theresa, Tammy and Penny. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
