He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin P. Neves and Kathryn Neves; his siblings, Mary Ola Johnson, Edwin Neves, Tommy Jack Neves and Willie "Red" Neves; and his grandson Ryan Henke.

He is survived by: his wife Myra; his children, Charisse Michna (John), Derek Neves, Alynna Henke (John) and David McIntyre (Theresa); his siblings, Roy "Curly" Neves, Clara Ann Jennings, Rosalie Harrison (Ray) and Bonnie Powell (Bobby); his grandchildren, John Michna Jr. (Kayla), Valeri Shaw (George), Cavin Henke, Tucker Henke, Kandra Fuchs and Trista Box (Craig); and his great grandchild Emma.
