He was predeceased by: his parents, Lossie Lee and Ina Faye Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Jean Nelson; his sons, Jerry Lee Nelson, Jr. (Skip) and Jamie Nelson (Lawanda); his grandchildren, Tad Nelson, Brianna Nelson, James Nelson, Chad Nelson, Kaleigh Moore and Slaton Austin; his great grandchildren, Kaden, Grayson, Tucker, Toby, Aaryn, Jake, Austin, Olivia and Eli; his brother Donald Ray Nelson (Wanda); his stepdaughter Christi Austin; and his cow Samantha.
