She was predeceased by: her parents, William Andrew and Clara Ballard Hitt; her husband Lawrence Heard; and her siblings, Robbie Lena Rucks, Lavern Rucks, Glynn Hitt and Jasper Hitt.

She is survived by: her sister Linda Rose Ford. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
