He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Cleo and Thelma Lucille Thompson; and his siblings, Linda Brasseaux, Betty Lively and Floyd Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Thompson; his children, Lesle Cunningham and Paul Thompson; his grandchildren, Hannah Bowman, Cassandra "Maggie" Ward, Wyatt Bowman, Darrah Thompson, Jillian Harris and Angeni Kemp; and his great grandchildren, Ryder Rangel, Dallas Barrett, Jameson Barrett, Jerry Ward, Pele Ward, Dominic Rendon, Nicholas Rendon and Dalyssa Rendon.
