He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Hicks and Cora Mae Walling Hampton; his wife Sherry Ann Sivil Hampton; his daughters, Ginger Smith (Keith) and Robin Gibson (Tom); his brother Robert Hampton (Marialice); his grandsons, Brandon Smith (Rebecca), Jared Smith (Alison), Michael Gibson, Mitchell Gibson (Sarah Beth), Adam Gibson (Michaela) and Aaron Gibson (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Madilyn and Everett Gibson; his sons-in-law, Keith Smith and Tom Gibson; and his great grandchild Eli Smith.
