Bettye Lou Duffy Beason Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Lou Duffy Beason (Seabrook, Texas), born in Matagorda, Texas, who passed away on August 25, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lew Rollin Beason; her siblings, Jack Duffy, Edward Duffy and Trude Ann Brandon; and her son Scott Rollin Beason.
She is survived by: her sons, William Joseph Beason (Linda), Ted Gilbert Beason (Rhonda) and Ryan Andrew Beason (Carol); and her grandchildren, Daniel Scott Beason (Emile), Stephanie Lynn Beard (Mathan Bead), Wyatt Joseph Beason and Sarah Elizabeth Beason.
As a result of being a PEO member for more than 50 years she earned the title of a PEO "Golden Girl"". She was also a member of the Texas Conference of Christian Educators. During her last weeks at the hospital and in hospice care at "The Crossings" in League City, where she was a resident, a group of caring devoted friends, some from out of state, organized a schedule of around-the-clock care. When the friends were asked why they provided such care they responded, "It was an honor, she would have done the same for us". She had good friends because she was a good friend. Her memorial service will take place at Seabrook United Methodist Church at 3300 Lakeside Drive, Seabrook, TX. 77586 on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be a "Celebration of Life". Donations may be made to The Crossings Chapel Fund. Checks can be sent made payable to "The Crossings" and sent in care of Reverend Paula Kirby, Seabrook United Methodist Church 3300 Lakeside Drive, Seabrook, TX. 77586. If you care to send flowers, her favorite were green carnations.
