He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Poteet; and his sister Nancy Poteet. He is survived by: his wife Donna Poteet of Scroggins; his children, Charlie White (Lacey Coffman) of Palestine, Lori Gangross (Joel) of Chandler and Leigh Blackmon (Patrick) of Karnack, Texas; and his brothers, Don Poteet of Seagoville and Fred Poteet of Kemp. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
