He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee and Cleo Sprueill (Sturgon); his grandson Darrel Ray Puckett; his wife Sandra Sprueill; and his siblings, Sonny Harding, Rodney Harding, Norman Sprueill and Pennie Sprueill.
He is survived by: his children, Anita Ballard, Donnie Lee Sprueill, Samuel Sprueill and Jacob Sprueill; his grandchildren, Angelica Saylor (Jerry) and Braedon Ballard; his great grandchild Georgia; and his siblings, Connie Rushing, Linda Bryant (Bennie), Karen Wammack (Mike), Joyce Sprueill, Lloyd Paul Brannon, Roger Sprueill (Terrie) and Danny Sprueill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
