He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Wilkes of Biloxi and Audrey Genders Wilkes of Bloomington, Illinois.; his son Rene; his sister Wanda; his brothers-in-law, Johnny Jr. and Angel; his nephew Jeffrey; his sister-in-law Maria; and his mother-in-law Guadalupe.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores De Jesus Wilkes; his children, Wade (Jennifer), Jonathan (Elisabeth) and Kristin (Roy); his grandchildren, Isabella, Tanner, Morgan, Cassidy and Aiden; his siblings, Wade Sr. (Kathy Wilkes) of Ocean Springs and Audra (Danny D'Anelia) of Peachtree, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Adam, Chase, Wade Jr., Tony, Michael, Debra Ashely, Emily and Susana; and his great-nephews, Spencer, Erik, Colton and Hayes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (1010 Lyons Ave, Schulenburg, TX 78956). A rosary was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery (8516 Spencer Hwy, Deer Park, TX 77536).
