Viola Hartensteiner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Viola Hartensteiner of Schulenburg, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Genzer and Rosie Rerich Genzer; her husband Herman Hartensteiner; and her sons, Steve and Donald.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Rektorik (Gary) of Schulenburg, Kathy Pyka (Greg) of Dripping Springs and Mike Hartensteiner (Jan) of Cypress; and her daughter-in-law Wanda Hartensteiner of Richmond. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (1010 Lyons Ave, Schulenburg, TX 78956). A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
