She was predeceased by: her daughter Beth Mendel; and her father Bobby Strickland. She is survived by: her husband Alan Mendel; her children, Shelley, Scott Janecka, Trisha, Jerred Kocurek and Shane Mendel; her grandchildren, Ian, Anna and Janecka; her siblings, Rhonda, Ron Srubar, Vicki, Eugene Schrader, Scott and Pam Strickland; and her mother Lucille Strickland. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Methodist Church in Schulenburg.
