He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Gales of Sequim, WA, Mariann Grasela Pickford of San Diego, CA, Martin Gales of Spokane, WA., David Gales of Spokane, WA. and Brian Gales of Spokane, WA.; his wife Marie-Luise Gales; and his daughter Denise Gales-Langabeer.
