With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Leon Sanders (Schertz, Texas), born in Niagara Falls, New York, who passed away on January 8, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Sanders and Margaret Sanders; and his brother Kent Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Mickey" Sanders; his sister Mary Lou Sanders; and his children, Sue Verley and LtCol Brett Sanders (Leann). He is also survived by niece and nephews, three grand nephews, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes charitable contributions in Russ Sanders' name to a charity of your choice or a charity that benefits the military and their family members such as Children of Fallen Patriots.
