With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Ray Hawkins of Schertz, Texas, who passed away on December 3, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Ray Hawkins and Ila Faye Lancaster. He is survived by: his wife Yong Mi Hawkins; his daughter Lisa Hawkins; his son-in-law Jonathan Pilkington; his son Robert Hawkins Jr.; his daughter-in-law Katrina Hawkins; and his granddaughter Adalyn Hawkins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 8:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154, USA). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209). A procession was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
