He was predeceased by: his parents, Amador Ramirez and Josefa Garza Ramirez. He is survived by: his wife Josefina Ramirez; his children, Anna Coronado (Rick) and Rene Ramirez (Cindi); and his grandchildren, Josephine Barrera (Luis), Natasha Sanchez (Jaime), Annalisa Salinas (Ernesto), Dannielle Baugh (Matt), Chris and Steven. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
