He was predeceased by: his mother Eunice Potter; his former wife Mary Lou Potter; his brother Thomas Potter; his great grandchild Connor White; and his brother-in-law Richard Mayberry.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Blake Potter; his sister Loretha Eileen Mayberry; and his children, James Potter (Pamela), Loretha White (Alan) and Lucretia Lape (Butch). He is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren.
