He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Lee Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Janora Shaw-Hicks; his children, Leo Jason Hicks of Louisville, KY. and Lisa Jeanette Hicks of Cary, NC; his stepsons, Dejvan, Demarcus Shaw of Anderson, IN, Promise and Avraheim Shaw of Schertz, TX.; and his siblings, Phyllis Fairley-Brown of Huey, NC, Yvonne Ross-Jonas, Ruthie Fairley, Renata Walters-Raymond of Chicago, Lee Alan Hicks, Leslie Hicks of Westland, MI., Leola Hicks, Gloria Jean Hicks and Vernon Fairley. He is also survived by one grandson and eight step-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
