She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rafael Cardenas and Paula Cardenas; her siblings, Rafael Cardenas Jr., Angel, Surefoot, Carmen Thomas Harris (Kent) and Maria Cardenas; and her pet Gizmo. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials donations be made in her name to the San Antonio's Animal Humane Society.
