It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Earl Stokes Sr. of Schertz, Texas, born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on December 16, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Earline Miles; his children, John E. Stokes, Jr. (Brenda) of Floresville and Williethea R. Stokes; his siblings, Brenda (Leroy) of Florida, Wilma Stokes, Jackie Stokes, Robin Stokes and Alan Evans (Noi); his half-sister Linda Carter (Sye) of Montgomery, Alabama.; and also Diana Taylor. He is also survived by grandson, a granddaughter, a great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews amongst other neighbors and friends.
