He is survived by: his family, Coach, Jim and Crypa; his son Tim; his wife Linda; his children, Mark and Andrea Coats (Steven); his grandchildren, Stevie, Lauren and Tim Shuler (Donna); his great grandchildren, Dalton, Julianna, Hazel and Flynn; his brothers, Allen (Donna), Larry (Laura) and Gary (Carol); and also, Sheila Peden (John) and Sharla.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either the Tunnels to Towers Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
